Kenneth P. Kane, 88, Wausau, died Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Benedictine Manor, Wausau. He was born May 10, 1928 in Wausau, son of the late John and Nel (Howard) Kane. On May 29, 1954 he married Loretta "Retta" Eschenbach in Wausau. She survives. Kenneth served his country in the United States Navy from 1948 until 1952. He worked as a postal carrier from 1954 until 1989 and in his spare time he enjoyed golfing and reading. A special thanks to his golf partner, Don, lots of golf, lots of laughs and lots of "pops". Survivors include his wife, Loretta "Retta" Kane, Wausau; children, Mary (David) Dohe, Spring, Texas, Tom (Judy) Kane, Nashville, Tennessee and Paul (Denise) Kane, Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Kelly, Conor, Sean, Carly and Jack; great-grandchildren, Lucy, Charlotte and Tommy; step-grandchildren, Jason and Diane Dohe; and a niece, Saranel Boggs, South Carolina. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ned and Jack and a sister, Nellie. Memorial service will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com
