Kenneth F. Gorecki

Kenneth F. Gorecki 66, Wausau, died Friday January 10, 2003 at his home. He was born August 1, 1936 in Wausau, oldest son of the late Frank and Jeanette (Pittsley) Gorecki. On June 13, 1981 he married Shirley (Herman) Mueller at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. She survives. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1954 until his honorable discharge as corporal in 1958. He attended vocational school in Wausau and graduated with a degree in sheet metal and printing. He retired from Wisconsin Box Company as their box printer. He enjoyed printing and sheet metal work, and going to the Menominee Casino to see all his Shawano friends. He was a member of AARP and the American Legion in Indiana. He will be always remembered as a hard worker, loving husband and great step dad. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Gorecki, Wausau, a step-daughter, Michele (Bill) Foley, Weston, two step-sons, Daniel R. Mueller and Robert D. Mueller, both of Wausau, three step-granddaughters, Heather, Holly, Lauren, three step-grandsons, David, Derik, Lucas, two brothers, Gerald (Helen) Gorecki, Ringle, Daniel (Kathy) Gorecki, Wausau, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Services will be Noon January 15, 2003 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may sent to either the American Heart Association or the Ken's Family. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
