Kenneth W. Boneske, 91, of Athens, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at his home. He was born on March 20, 1934, in Medford, to the late Arnold and Margaret (Merwin) Boneske.

Kenneth worked for many years as a dairy farmer and was also employed at Jahnke Construction. After his retirement, he drove road grader for the towns of Bern and Holton. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed his 32 tractors. Kenneth served his country in the U.S. Army in the late 1950’s.

Survivors include his brother, Roy (Pat) Boneske of Athens; sister, Darlene Zietlow; stepson, Randy (Chris) Apfelbeck of Edgar; stepdaughter, Crystal (Perry) Williamson of Athens; daughters, Connie Boneske (fiancé, Randy Murkowski) of Athens and Cherie Boneske of Colby; 11 grandchildren, Stephanie (Jim) Halvorsen of Edgar, Jeremy (Kristina) Apfelbeck of Edgar, Matt (Karen) Apfelbeck of Edgar, Tiffany (Travis) Hart of Rozellville, Ciera (Josh) Grueneberg of Berlin, Jessie Venzke of St. Petersburg, Florida, Jackie (Patrick) Venzke of Edgar, Kimberly Venzke of Athens, Stevie (Jean) Boneske of Cornell, Shane Boneske of Wausau, and Selena Boneske of Athens; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry Boneske; and brother-in-law, Don Zietlow.
