Kenneth A. Behnke, 57, of Edgar, died Friday, October 30, 2015, unexpectedly at his home.
He was born January 8, 1958 in Wausau son of the late Eugene and Donna (Dehnel) Behnke.
Kenny was an extremely hard working man, well known and loved by many, many people. As the owner and operator of Behnke Trucking, his most enjoyable times were helping his neighbors and spending time with his family and friends. Kenny loved taking care of his animals, all the hours he spent building his business and working on his trucks. With a heart of gold, Kenny was the friend you always called when needed, and would be there in a moments notice. He will be deeply missed by his daughters, brothers, sisters, all who knew him, and Miley, his beloved dog.
He is survived by his daughters Amanda Behnke, Edgar and Sarah (Luke) Blaser, Edgar. Kenny is further survived by his brothers and sisters: Karen (Robert) Tesch, Wausau; Kevin (Diana) Behnke, Edgar; Keith (Marsha) Behnke, Mosinee; Karla (Kevin) Oehmichen, Athens; Karl Behnke, Edgar; Karol (George Eckert) Stanley, Washington D.C.; Kolleen (Michael) Warosh, Janesville; and Kaye Behnke, Athens; nieces and nephews; Christopher, Joshua, Angela, Andrea, Michael, Matthew, Nicholas, Nathan, and Hannah. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Leroy (Sharon) Dehnel, Wausau; Edward Dehnel, Wausau, Robert Dehnel, Marathon, Robert Rajek, Edgar; Phyllis Kufahl, Marathon; Beverly Behnke, Plymouth; Donald and Ila Behnke, Edgar and Merlin and Jill Behnke, Hastings, MN; as well as many cousins.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Hildegard Dehnel; Loretta and Harold Behnke; aunts Ardell Rajek, Sue Dehnel, uncles; Mayward Heise, Garry Kufahl, Wayne Behnke and best friend and cousin, Mike Behnke.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Stettin. Rev. Philip Bogen will officiate. Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 300 Walnut Street, Marathon, with a closing prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
