Kenneth C. Ast

Kenneth (Ken) Charles Ast Kenneth Ast, 81, Wausau died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital with his family by his side. He was born May 26, 1929 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of the late Ervin and Gertrude (Flach) Ast. Surviving siblings include 2 brothers Clifford and Alfred and 2 sisters Jean and Joan. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Ethel and June and 3 brothers, Ervin, William and Charlie. Ken proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1946 to 1949. For more than 30 years Ken worked for Johnson Controls in Wausau and Milwaukee, WI and Houghton, MI. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, cooking and going out to eat with his family. He is survived by his children Pamela Fitzke, Athens, WI; Debra Baptist (Wayne Dennison) and Daniel (Susan) Ast, both of Wausau, WI and Lynn (Erick) Hanusa, Oconomowoc, ten grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
