Kathleen M. Petasek

Kathleen "Kay" M. Petasek 82, Wausau, formerly of Green Bay, died Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at her home. She was born May 26, 1924 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Ambrose and Margaret (Platten) Jossart. On July 27, 1944, she married Chet Petasek in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on October 18, 1953. Kay was the former manager of the Mayfair Lounge and former owner of Kay's Loop, later known as The Village, all in downtown Green Bay. In 1985, she retired from H.C. Prange Department Store, Wausau, where she was a furniture sales representative. Survivors include her very special family, Mary Younger and her son, Jimmy Younger, Wausau; two sisters, Betty LeRoy, DePere and Rita (Dutch) Arnhoelter, Brillion; two sisters-in-law, Joan Jossart, DePere and Beverly Jossart, Green Bay; and her very special friends, Al and Dorothy DeGroot, Green Bay. Besides her parents and husband, Chet, she was preceded in death by her significant other, Vincent "Jim" Pidone; and two brothers, Bob and Ambrose "Jim" Jossart. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Entombment will be in the Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the Sixth Street funeral home.
