Kathleen (Katie) Majeske

Kathleen B. "Katie" Majeske 85, Wausau, died Saturday September 15, 2007 at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau. She was born February 20, 1922, in Wausau, daughter of the late Henry and Beatrice (Conrad) Koy. On May 25, 1943, she married Floyd E. Majeske. He preceded her in death April 18, 2005. For many years, Katie had been a parish secretary, first at St. Anne Catholic Church and retired from St. Matthew Catholic Church. She was a charter member of St. Anne Parish and had been involved in various church activities through the years including singing in the choir, serving as president of the Fatima Council and was a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women. She also enjoyed Square Dancing and playing the organ. Survivors include a son, James Majeske, Wausau, a sister, Jeanette (Edmund) Stenzel, Wausau, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Katie had been preceded in death by a son Richard. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Weds. September 19, 2007 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Steven Brice will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Weds. from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish rosary service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Sixth Street funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the entire staff at Marywood Convalescent Center for the loving care given to Katie during her time with them.
