Kathleen "Kathy" A. Boehm

September 8, 1952 — November 22, 2025

Kathleen A. “Kathy” Boehm, 73, of Wausau, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Wood Aven Health and Rehabilitation in Wausau, while under the care of Compassus Hospice.

Kathy was born on September 8th, 1952, in Schofield. Daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Pallman) Ferge. She married the love of her life Steven “Steve” Boehm on September 9th, 1972, at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. On September 9th, 2025, they celebrated 53 years of marriage.

After high school, Kathy attended the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. She then started out her career as a teachers aid for several years in Marathon City before she started at the Wausau Medical Center. For over 20 years she worked as a receptionist in the Dermatology Department. After her medical retirement, Kathy found her true calling as a Mary Kay consultant. She loved skin care and enjoyed making all her customers feel beautiful. She especially enjoyed her fall Mary Kay open houses; with the ambiance of the Christmas season, topped off with hot drinks, sweet treats with good friends and family.

Kathy found joy in the simple pleasures of life — whether it was spending time at Copper Lake, golfing, or cross-county skiing. In more recent years, she and Steve cherished their day trips around Wisconsin, with their annual autumn visit to Gays Mills holding a special place in their hearts. In addition to her love of flowers, some of her favorite pastimes included bird watching, reading, attending the racetrack, coffee dates, and her daily walks with the dogs. Always making time for her daily devotions.

Above all, Kathy adored her three granddaughters. She lived for moments with her family — both the human and the furry companions who brought her endless happiness. She had a gift for making everyone feel loved and special, and she never let a birthday or holiday pass without celebration. Kathy’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved will forever be remembered.

Survivors include her loving husband, Steve Boehm, Wausau, her two daughters, Katie (Jeff) Lila and Kristin (Shane) Wenninger, three granddaughters, Sophie Lila and Aubrey and Lucy Wenninger, and her siblings, William M. (Carol) Ferge and James (Laurie) Ferge, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday December 5th, 2025, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 709 Weston Ave, Wausau. Rev. Karoline Schwantes and Rev. Marion Talaga will officiate.
