Kathleen Dolores Enzenbach

Kathleen "Kay" Dolores Enzenbach, 61, Marathon, died Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, following a brief battle with cancer. She was born February 14, 1955 in Wausau, daughter of the late Milo and Muriel (Kirstein) Pyan. On October 2, 1993, she married Floyd James Enzenbach at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, town of Cassel. He survives. Kay graduated from Marathon High School and furthered her education at St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Marshfield, and proudly earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing through online courses. For many years, Kay traveled throughout the United States as a traveling nurse, and for the past 25 years, she worked at Aspirus Wausau Hospital as a Registered Nurse and Certified Wound Care Nurse. Among her favorite pastimes, Kay enjoyed biking, kayaking, camping, fishing and being outdoors. She also enjoyed snowshoeing and skiing and was a member of the Nordic Ski Club. Most of all, Kay loved traveling with her husband, Floyd, her quarterly visits with her sisters, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Kay will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include, her loving husband, Floyd Enzenbach, Marathon; her step-son, Carl (Trish) Enzenbach, Wittenburg; her step-granddaughter, Kailey; five siblings, Terrence (Jacki) Pyan, Marathon, Barbara (Gene) Sass, West Bend, Pamela (George) Zaboklicki, Muskego, Joan Gordon, Milwaukee and Charles (Lori) Pyan, Crystal Lake, IL; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, who were very dear to Kay. Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Kay's family to be donated to the American Cancer Society for cancer research.
