Kasper W. Knab
93, Athens died Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Colonial Center, Colby.
He was born April 5, 1918 in the town of Halsey, son of the late Martin and Anna (Rossman) Knab. On December 19, 1941 he married Leah Liberty in the town of Hamburg. She preceded him in death on January 15, 2007.
Prior to his retirement Kasper worked at Berg Manufacturing in Marshfield for many years. He was proud to be a lifelong resident of Athens and loved to hunt and fish.
Survivors include his children, Kasper A. (Becky) Knab, Athens, Michael F. (Patti) Knab, Merrill, Virginia "Ginny" (Bernie) Gauerke, Weston and Steven B. (Corinne) Knab, Manitowoc, fifteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, son-in-laws, Al Guden, Medford and Gary Fergot, Edgar, his brother, Chester (Ardell) Knab, Montana, sisters-in-law, Ruth Leichtnam, Medford and Mildred Kruger, Texas and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Besides his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by two daughters, Janice R. Guden, Debra A. Fergot, two grandsons, Scott and Keith Knab.
Private family services were held.
