Karen J. Sahr

Karen J. Sahr 62, town of Texas, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at her home. She was born November 8, 1949 in Wausau, the daughter of Helen (Hughes) Goetsch and the late Ervin Goetsch. On December 2, 1967, she married John Sahr in Wausau. He survives. Among her many interests, Karen enjoyed flower gardening and being a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, especially her two boys, who were the love of her life. Survivors include, her husband, John and two sons, Daniel and Kevin; all of the town of Texas; her mother, Helen Goetsch, Rib Mountain; six brothers and sisters, Allen Goetsch, Wausau, Kathy (Larry) Potts, Tomahawk, Gary (Sue) Goetsch, Altoona, Tom (Barb) Goetsch, Wausau, Mark (Brenda) Goetsch, Mosinee and Lynn (Tom) O'Malley, Stevens Point; her father and mother-in-law, John and Elizabeth Sahr, Wausau; one brother-in-law, Dale (Cindy) Sahr, Geneseo, Ill.; two sisters-in-law, Judy (Mike) Pingel, Wausau and Jean Sahr, Wausau; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by one nephew, Joey Goetsch. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Entombment will be in the Holy Angels Mausoleum, St. Michael Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
