Karen Rose Breske

Karen Rose Breske, 86, Hatley, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Primrose Memory Care in Weston, under the care of Interim Hospice.

She was born October 8, 1939 in Hatley, daughter of the late Edward and Velma (Doty) Woznicki. On April 25, 1959, she married Roger M. Breske at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2012.

For 53 years, Karen and Roger built a life together grounded in love, hard work, and family. As business owners, they worked side by side and shared in the success they created together.

Karen was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who cherished every moment with her family. She enjoyed hosting family get-togethers and creating lasting memories for those she loved. Known for her gentle and patient nature, she treated her grandchildren with unwavering kindness and never raised her voice to them. Her love, warmth, and compassion will be deeply missed. Her presence made family feel like home.

Survivors include her four children, John (Heather) Breske, Antigo, Jim (Beth) Breske, Hatley, Jodi (Mike O’Neil) Breske, Weston and Jill Bricco, Hatley; 13 grandchildren, Lindsey, Tiffany (Cody), Stephanie (Frank), Dana (Chad), Shannon (Jerry), Erin (Bryce), Cassi (Matt), Timothy, Carli (Riley), Taylor, Halle (Evan), John (Maddie) and Makailah; 12 great-grandchildren, Skylar, Leesa, Evalee, Mason, Brice, Grayson, Stetson, Ruby, Peyton, Miles, Teagan and Thomas; six siblings, Lee (Kathy) Woznicki, Susan Klingbile, Carol (Wendell) Silvius, Thomas (Roberta) Woznicki, Daniel (Brenda) Woznicki and Donald (Cathy) Woznicki; two sisters-in-law, Patti Woznicki and Patty Woznicki; three brothers-in-law, Ron Geurink, John (Peggy) Breske and Dan Breske; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Roger, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Gary, Alan and Clifford Woznicki and Diane Geurink.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. Rev. Jerome Patric will preside. Burial be in the St. Philomena Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the church and again on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. There will be a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening.
