Judy S. Jahnke
49, 6201 Iron Bridge Rd., Athens, died Weds. December 1, 2004 at Fairview University Hospital, Minneapolis.
She was born August 28, 1955 in Dorchester, daughter of Bryce and Marlene (Schumacher) Hinke. In 1994 she married David Jahnke in Wausau. He survives.
For many years, Judy assisted her husband as secretary of Jahnke Construction Company. Among her favorite things to do were spending time outdoors, especially at their cottage at Spirit Lake, planting and tending her flowers, as well as her pets. She also enjoyed shopping with her girlfriends and family and cooking for family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, David Jahnke, Athens, her parents, Bryce and Marlene Hinke, Medford, a step-son, Ben Jahnke, Athens, a brother, Kenneth (Karen) Hinke, Medford, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Daniel and Florence Jahnke, Milan, three nephews, Randall (Ginny) Hinke, Eau Claire, Mikal (Summer) Hinke, Stetsonville and Matthew Hinke, Superior, her special pets, Teddy, Raggs and Rambo as well as many relatives and friends.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Saturday December 4, 2004 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in the Milan Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again on Saturday from Noon until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish rosary at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Athens funeral home.
