Judith M. Paszek (nee Loehmer), 78, of Wausau, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, under the care of Primrose Memory Care and Moments Hospice.
Judy was born on October 9, 1947, to Paul and Margaret Loehmer of Tomahawk. On February 10, 1968, she married Claude Paszek. They went on to raise their three children in the house they built and loved in the town of Stettin. Gardening was one of Judy’s favorite things to do. She was very proud of her flower gardens and loved puttering around in the yard.
Judy worked for many years at Citizens Bank and then went on to work at various other customer service jobs.
After the kids were grown and her husband retired, Claude and Judy went traveling all over the US and into Canada. Camping was another one of her favorite activities. They would even take their grandkids along just for the fun of it.
Judy was known for her stubbornness and doing things her way. She was also not very graceful, as all the trips to the ER in her lifetime can tell you. She was nice enough to hand those two qualities down to all the generations that followed her. She was definitely one of a kind and was loved by everyone.
Judy is survived by her children, Paula (John) Gavinski, Bevent, Brian Paszek, Gilbert, AZ, and Leann Ninabuck, Edgar; grandchildren; Ashley (Justin), Raquel (Matt), Cody, Michaela, Alexandra, Christopher (CJ), Lillie and Adelyn and their mother, Ann; 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; her older brother, Tom Loehmer; her youngest sister, Chris (Himey) Kincaid and their son Nick, and assorted cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Claude, her younger sister, Pat, her granddaughter, Courtney, her sister-in-law Louise and her sons Kirk and Chad, her niece, Val and her dogs, Penny, Tasha, and Lady Jane.
Thank you to all of the staff at Primrose who made her feel loved and to all of the staff with Moments Hospice who made her last few days as comfortable as possible.
Mom, even though Alzheimer's and dementia robbed you of your golden years, you were still golden to us. We’re sure you could hear us when we were spending the last few days with you and you were probably laughing right along with us or shaking your head at us. We love you and miss you and look forward to seeing you and Dad again in the future when both of you will be happy and healthy.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026 at Saint Andrew Lutheran Church, Rib Mountain. Rev. Jack Busche will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
