Judith A. "Judy" Buntrock

Judith A. Buntrock, 74, Schofield, died Monday, August 28, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born January 16, 1943 in Milwaukee to the late Charles and Adeline (Fearson) Singer. Judith was a 1961 graduate of Wausau High School and worked as an underwriter for Wausau Insurance for 25 years until her retirement. Judith was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and was active in the Little Flower Council, Holy Angels Circle, the Red Hats Society and Royal Neighbors. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed reading, playing cards and dominos, gardening and spending time with her family. Survivors include her children Roger J. (Leasha) Walters, Jr., Morgan City, LA, Tom Walters, Schofield, David (Felister) Walters, Ansbach, Germany and James Buntrock, Schofield; seven grandchildren, Bethanie-Lee DiMatteo, Khristinie (Shane) Campo, Kourtenie (Ronnie) Truelove, Colin Walters, Josephine Walters, Alyvia Sconzert and Zander Buntrock; three great grandchildren, Justin, Kristopher and Kenzie; five brothers, Charles Singer, Mosinee, Robert (Carmela) Singer, Rockville, MD, Richard (Carol) Singer, Midwest City, OK, Gerald (Diane) Singer, Issaquah, WA, John Singer, Schofield; three sisters, Shirley (Edward) Princl, Weston, Kathy (Ken) Asterita, Mesa, AZ, and Margaret (Richard) Pesmark, Peshtigo; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Judith was preceded in death by her first husband Rodger Walters Sr.; second husband, James Buntrock Sr.; third husband, Duane Buntrock; one brother, Dennis; and two infant sisters. Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Louis Britto will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home, with a rosary service beginning at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Cemetery, town of Scott.
