Juanita K. Schmidt

Juanita K. Schmidt 83, 517 E. Wausau Avenue, Wausau, died Saturday March 13, 2004 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau. She was born March 4, 1921 in the town of Cassel, daughter of the late Leonard and Josephine (Mucha) Hall. On May 23, 1942, she married George E. Schmidt at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. He preceded her in death October 10, 1968. Juanita had been employed at Marathon Battery and at the Excel Inn. She enjoyed knittng and playing Yahtzee. Special to her was the time spent with her great-grandchildren. Survivors include three sons, George D. Schmidt, Columbus, Georgia, David L. (Shirley) Schmidt, Wausau, Roger M. (Michele) Schmidt, Weston, one daughter, Judith (Richard) Wolfe, Wausau, 10 grandchildren, one step-grandchild, six great-grandchildren, one sister, Marcella Thurs, Edgar, four brothers, Arnold Hall, Wausau, Michael (Dorinda) Hall, Marathon, Victor (Jeanette) Hall and Wilfred (Ruth) Hall, all of Edgar. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angela Sue, four brothers, Julius, Leonard, Walter and Alexander Hall. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday March 18, 2004 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Weds. from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a rosary service Weds. evening at the Sixth Street funeral home.
