Joyce L. Strehlow

Joyce L. Strehlow, 85, Wausau, died Saturday, January 26, 2013 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. She was born August 19, 1927 in Wausau, daughter of the late Paul and Emma (Ably) Heller. On July 31, 1948 she married Gerald Strehlow in Wausau. He survives. Joyce loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events, playing bridge and spending time with her family, especially her sister, and friends. Survivors include her husband, Gerald, Wausau; children, Randy (Cheryl) Strehlow, Mosinee, Daniel (Margaret) Strehlow, Schofield, Steve (Linda) Strehlow, Wausau, and Karen (Chris) Kyle, Wausau; nine grandchildren, Chad (Sue) Strehlow, Tim (Vicki) Strehlow, Shawn (Meagan) Strehlow, Ryan Strehlow, Jenny (Greg) Jirschele, Paul (Kristin) Strehlow, Kim (fiancAC. Brent Schwartz) Strehlow, Stacey and Jason Kyle; ten great-grandchildren, Emily and Elizabeth Strehlow, Ty and Coy Strehlow, Owen and Sydney Strehlow, RaeAnn and Zoey Strehlow, Cora Strehlow, and Liana Chaignot; sister, Ellen "Dotty" Folz, Schofield; and Bill and Ken McCrory, Wausau. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Savanah Strehlow, two brothers, Milton and Alvin Heller and two sisters, Emogene McCrory and Ethel "Dewey" Schmidt. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Jeffrey Hennes will preside. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
