Joyce E. Seubert

Joyce E. Seubert 75, Marathon, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston. She was born March 8, 1932 in the town of Cassel, daughter of the late Matthew and Marie (Blume) Wagner. On August 27, 1951, she married Hugo Seubert Jr. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. He survives. Joyce was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon and the Third Order of St. Francis. Among her many interests, she enjoyed playing cards, sporting activities and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was also a member of the Red Hat Sisters Survivors include her husband, Hugo Seubert Jr., Marathon; 11 children, Ken Seubert, Dan (Sue) Seubert, Janice (Eugene) Pilgrim, all of Marathon, Sandy (Brad) Lewitzke, Weston, Matt (Lauri) Seubert, Rodney (Mary Lou) Seubert, Gary (Pam) Seubert, Chris (Brenda) Seubert, Randy (Sherri) Seubert, Russell (Kim) Seubert and Jackie (Kip) Hanke, all of Marathon; 36 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; four sisters, Grace (Jerry) Brickner, Marathon, Dorothy Klumpyan, Fond du Lac, Lucy (Jim) Sorenson, Madison and Mary (Jeff) Flaminio, Mosinee; one brother-in-law, Jim (Ann) Seubert, Marathon; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Nikolai, Neenah and Arlene (Edwin Jr.) Volhard, Marathon; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Rebecca Seubert; one brother, Kenneth Wagner; her father and mother-in-law, Hugo and Sophie Seubert; three brothers-in-law, Ervin Klumpyan, Lavern Seubert and Harold Nikolai; and one sister-in-law, Mary Seubert. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2007 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Robert Thorn will preside. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon is in charge of arrangements.
