Joyce E. Rossi

Joyce E. Rossi, 91, Wausau, was blessed with a peaceful, tranquil death on Sunday, September 11, 2016 under the care of her family and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at the Hospice House, Wausau. She was born September 25, 1924 in the town of Maine, daughter of the late Stanley and Pearl (Witter) Derbick. On November 16, 1946 she married Valerian "Larry V.J." Rossi at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death on December 4, 2010. Joyce had been employed at Lemke Cheese, Wausau and later, the Rossi's owned and operated Baeseman's Shoe Store, retiring in 1986. The business has been carried on by their children, Mary and Tom. Joyce was a woman of great faith which supported her in times of trial. The Rossi's were Founding Members of the Church of St. Anne, where Joyce was involved with the Fatima Council and volunteered for various functions over the years. Above all, Joyce and Larry valued time with family as a precious gift.
