Joyce M. Nyberg

Joyce M. Nyberg 82, Wausau, died Tuesday September 4, 2007 at her home, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born May 10, 1925 in Moon, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Roy and Alice (LaPointe) Dodge. On June 11, 1944, she married Roy A. Nyberg in Merrill. He preceded her in death May 13, 2002. Joyce had been employed in the candy shop at Winkleman's Department Store, the House of Cards and at Jackson Pharmacy. She enjoyed raising flowers and plants as well as vegetable gardening. Survivors include a son, Steven (Lee Ann) Nyberg, Wausau, a daughter-in-law, Barbara Nyberg, Clearwater, Fla., three grandchildren, Virginia (Craig) Smith, Alexis (Jim) Lucas and Marcia (David) Molhem, seven great grandchildren, Brent, Carrie, Zelda, Amanda, Alex, Emerson, and Finley Robin. Besides her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by a son, David, a great-granddaughter, Hazel Komula, a son-in-law, Bruce Komula and a sister, Phyllis Hanson. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday September 7, 2007 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Pastor Robert Mills will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. and again on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home.
