Joyce M. Hemmrich

Joyce M. Hemmrich, 71, Wausau, died Sunday, July 6, 2003 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born November 7, 1931, in Marathon, daughter of Selma (Pyan) Buchberger, Wausau and the late Hugo Buchberger. On June 2, 1964 she married Clarence Hemmrich. He survives. Joyce attended St. Mary's School, Marathon and Marathon High School. Before her marriage to Clarence, Joyce worked in the tea room of the former St. Mary's Hospital and the Bon Ton Cafe, Wausau. She had a love for horses and enjoyed showing and riding. Joyce was a faithful member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Marathon. Joyce also loved an occasional trip to State Park Speedway to enjoy the races. Survivors include her husband, Clarence Hemmrich, Wausau; her mother Selma Buchberger, Wausau; one brother, Wallace Buchberger, Oconto, two sisters, Janet Cyzan, West Chicago, Ill, Judy Brennan, Wausau; five nephews, Robert (Betsy) Cyzan, Phoenix, Ariz., Mike Cyzan, West Chicago, Ill., Glenn (Sherry) Buchberger, Mosinee, Daryl Buchberger, Marathon and Aaron (Lisa) Buchberger, Mosinee, four nieces, Diane (Paul) Trautt, St. Charles, Ill, Cathy Ruiz, West Chicago, Ill, Gail (Terry) McCarthy, Marathon, and Diana (Richard) Holm, Wausau. She was preceded in death by her father, and a brother Arvin Buchberger. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Wedneday, July 9, 2003 at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Marathon. Rev. Dan Solofra will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services at the church. Joyce was a devoted and loving wife and homemaker and will be deeply missed by her husband, Clarence and her family.
