Joyce E. Fisher
76, Kannenberg Plaza, a Wausau & a former Antigo resident, died Saturday February 19, 2005 at the Hospice House.
She was born July 15, 1928 in Neenah, daughter of the late Charles and Sadie (Reier) Thorson. On December 26, 1947 she married Raymond E. Fisher in Neenah. He preceded her in death January 15, 2000.
Joyce was a homemaker and was a wonderful and loving caregiver. Among her favorite thing to do were painting, doing jigsaw puzzles and spending time with family and friends. Joyce enjoyed the years she lived at Kannenberg Plaza and made many good friends there.
Survivors include two sons, Jack Fisher and Howard (Terri) Fisher, all of Wausau, two daughters, Linda (Stafford) Cerny, Wausau and Sara (Jack) Wayland, Appleton; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren;
three sisters, Dorothy Holloway, Ohio, Mildred (Norris) Mathison, Winchester and Doris Davenport, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. Tuesday until the time of services at the Sixth Street funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial fund is being established.
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at Aspirus Wausau Hospital and especially the Hospice Home for the compassionate care extended to Joyce and her family.
