Joyce A. Dumdey

Joyce A. Dumdey, 55, W265 Springbrook Avenue, Merrill, died Thursday, January 13, 2005 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born July 27, 1949 in Wausau, daughter of the late Arthur and Erna (Kurth) Kersten. On April 26, 1975, she married Robert Dumdey Jr. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wausau. He survives. She was employed at Wausau Paper's. Among her many interests, she enjoyed fishing, bird watching and listening to country music. Survivors include, her husband, Robert Dumdey Jr., Merrill; one son, Anthony Dumdey, Rothschild; two step children, Lisa (Mike) Gleason, Ringle and Todd Dumdey, Schofield; five grandchildren, Josh, Gabby, Samantha, Brian and Brett; four sisters, Carol (Larry) DuBore, Ringle, Sharon Behle, Schofield, Gail (Thomas) Bayer, Ringle and Janet (Larry) Teige, Athens; one brother, Kenneth Kersten, Weston; her mother-in-law, Deloris Dumdey, Wausau; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Robert Dumdey Sr; and her daughter-in-law, Melissa Dumdey. The funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2005 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Raymond Connor will officiate.
