Joyce G. Bronk

Joyce G. Bronk, 71, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Joyce was born on February 5, 1955, in Wausau, Wisconsin, to Robert and Laura Shidell. She married Myron Bronk on July 5, 1975, at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in Polonia, Wisconsin. During their 51 years of marriage, they built a life filled with cherished memories. Joyce devoted many years to dairy farming and later worked in manufacturing.

Joyce was creative and artistic, finding joy in drawing flowers, decorating cakes, sewing, baking, and crafting. She loved nature and treasured family camping trips and time on the pontoon. She also enjoyed joyrides—first on her motorcycle and, more recently, on her e-bike or mobility chair. Joyce shared many special moments with her husband while canning and making wine and maple syrup together.

Joyce is lovingly remembered by her husband, Myron Bronk; her children, Kelly (Ann) Bronk and Krys Bronk; her grandchildren, Tanner Bronk and Regina Bronk; and her siblings, Patsy Jerzak, Marion Toboyek, Roger Shidell, Bruce Shidell, Patrick Shidell, Brian Shidell, and Allen Shidell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Laura Shidell, and her siblings, Robert Shidell Jr., Dennis Shidell, Robin Shidell, Virgil Shidell, and Susan Sitko.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Weston, with the Rev. Junabe Villapaz officiating. Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continuing until the Mass. Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery.
