Joshua Lee Stone

Joshua “Josh” Lee Stone, 51, Wausau, died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at his home.

He was born July 6, 1974 in Wausau, son of the late Larry Stone and Wendy (Obermeier) Tiffany.

Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed reading, especially Stephen King novels, listening to heavy metal music and most of all, he loved to spend time with family and friends. Josh had a great sense of humor and was often “comic relief” when family needed it most. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include, five children, Anthony Waukau, Jameson Stone, Raven (Miguel Aca) Stone, Samantha (Samuel Rasmussen) Stone and Alexander (Emma Walker) Stone; his brother, Christopher (Laurie) Stone; five grandchildren, Estevan, Leo, Sage, Willow and Oliver; his niece, Makayla Stone; step-father, Orlando Salter; step-sister, Sabrina Salter; his significant other, Renee Malpert and her children, Payton and Carrie; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of Josh’s life will be held from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m.. on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Aftershock Bar, 1418 Lenard Street, Wausau.
