Josephine E. Myszka
83, Wausau, died Sunday December 19, 2010 at the Aspirus Hospice House, with family by her side.
She was born July 11, 1927, in Wausau, daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Marquardt) Nikolai. On September 8, 1969, she married Raymond D. Myszka in Wausau. He preceded her in death February 13, 2008.
For many years, Josephine worked for Marathon Electric Corp. and retired from Employers Insurance Company, Wausau. Josephine enjoyed spending time with her husband Ray, at their cottage up north on Alva Lake. Josephine and Ray traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Nova Scotia and Alaska.
Survivors include two brothers, Lawrence Nikolai, Wausau and Jerry (Regina) Nikolai, Mosinee, four sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Nikolai, Wausau, Dorothy Nikolai, Merrill, Florence Nikolai, Mosinee and Loriena Nikolai, Weston, and many nieces and nephews, including her nephew caregiver, Jay Carlson.
Besides her parents and husband, she was was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann and seven siblings, Tony, Johnny, Ed and Jim Nikolai; Mary Jaecks, Anna Nimz and Agatha Carlson.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Weds. December 22, 2010 at The Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m.Weds. until the time of services at the church.
