Joseph G. Vesely
78, Schofield, died Monday, May 23, 2005 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born March 20, 1927 in Milan, son of the late Joseph and Barbara Vesely. On August 19, 1950, he married Nan Plisch at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. She survives.
Joseph was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps serving in Okinawa and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Graveen Chapeter #64. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 33 years as credit manager at the former Marmet Corporation. Joseph was a Alderman for the City of Schofield and a current member of their Planning Committee. A longtime member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Joseph was also a member of their Covenant Choir and served as an usher. Besides golfing, Joseph enjoyed woodworking especially carving ducks.
Besides his wife, Nan Vesely, Schofield, survivors include one son, Paul (Debra) Vesely, Ringle; two granddaughters, Shelby & Madelene Vesely, at home; siblings, Maryann Stahnke, Hazelhurst, Elaine (Lenard) Bauer, Hazelhurst, Eleanor (Richard) Endres, Chippewa Falls, Robert (Lynn) Vesely, Kenosha, Jim (Peggy) Vesely, Charleston, SC and Cassie (Eugene) Denk, Athens.
The funeral mass will be celebrated Noon Thursday May 26, 2005 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Rev. Janusz Kowalski will preside. Entombment will be in the Plisch Mausoleum, Athens. Friends may call Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
