Joseph Nowak Jr

Joseph Nowak Jr. 51, Marathon, died Wednesday, November 24, 2004 in Palliative Care at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield. He was born June 25, 1953 in Wausau, son of Joseph Nowak, Sr., Edgar and the late Clara (Knetter) Nowak. On June 12, 1976, he married Debra Rothenberger at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, town of Cassel. She survives. Joseph was the group supervisor for Marathon Cheese Corporation, Marathon. Besides walking, Joe enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and the Packers, collecting NASCAR and football cards and restoring old cars. Besides his wife, Debra and father, Joe Sr., survivors include one daughter, Mary (Ricky) Landwehr, Stratford; two sons, Joseph Nowak, III and Josh Nowak both at home; three brothers, Roger (Carol) Nowak, Edgar, James (Patty) Nowak, Stratford and Bob (Norma) Nowak, Edgar. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2004 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, town of Cassel. Rev. Barnabas Kyea will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar and again from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish rosary service Sunday evening at the Edgar funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joe's name may be directed to Palliative Care at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield.
