Joseph L. Moser

Joseph L. Moser 79, Marathon, was called to eternal rest on Monday, March 17, 2003 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. He was born on September 20, 1923, Rib Mountain, son of the late Louis, Sr. and Louise (Kulow) Moser. On September 23, 1944, he married Adeline Ahrens at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Marathon. She survives. Joseph was a dairy farmer in the town of Marathon and a can and bulk milk truck hauler for Clearfield Cheese. He also worked at Wausau Homes and Kolbe Brothers Lumber until his retirement. Joseph loved polka music. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and his dog, Snoopy. Survivors besides his wife, Adeline, includes, two daughters, Erna (Rick) VandenBoomen, Kronenwetter and Norma (Reuben) Baneck, Marathon; grandchildren, Ronald (Shirley) Huebsch, Wausau and their children, Kelly, Samantha and Joey, Jennifer Baneck, Marathon and Shawn Baneck, Marathon; two sisters, Lydia De Jong, Milwaukee and Marion (Gerald) Kohnhorst, Rib Mountain; three brothers, George (Ann) Moser, Ben (Audrey) Moser and Louie (Beverly) Moser all of Wausau. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, Michael Lee Huebsch; two sisters, Margaret Moser and Louise Graefe; two brothers-in-law, Selmer Graefe and George De Jong. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2003 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Marathon. Rev. Jon W. Hadler will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. The family would like to take this opportunity to extend their sincere appreciation to the entire staff at Mount View Care Center, Wausau Palliative Care Unit, Dr. Umang Gautam and the University of Wisconsin Cancer Center for their exceptional care and concern.
