Joseph J. Malak
68, Wausau, died Monday May 28, 2007 at his home.
He was born June 2, 1938, in Wausau, son of the late John and Alexandra (Cison) Malak.
For many years, Joe owned and operated "The Joey Malak Water Ski Show". He enjoyed working with the young people and encouraging them to become the best they could be. He had been employed for several years by the Wergin Company and after the company ceased operation, he was employed by American State Equipment from which he retired. Among his favorite things to do were reading, welding, machinery repair and boating.
Survivors include two brothers and a sister, Francis Malak, Leander (Merry) Malak and Sister Mary Lea Malak, four nephews, Michael, Jerry (Janice), Patrick (Rose), Alan (Leslie) as well as grand nieces and grand nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerome.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Thursday May 31, 2007 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Weds. from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, and again on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Weds. evening at the Sixth Street funeral home.
