Joseph J. Landowski, Sr

Joseph J. Landowski, Sr. 70, Ringle, died Wednesday March 6, 2002 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. He was born April 22, 1931 in Ringle, son of the late John and Mary (Glodowski) Landowski. On July 5, 1958 he married Johanna Tryba. She survives. Joe was a machine operator for Marathon Electric. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool and playing cards. He was a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley and a pool league. Survivors include his wife Johanna Landowski, Ringle; three sons, Jeffrey Landowski, Joseph (Marchelle) Landowski, Jr., James Landowski, all of Ringle; two daughters, Joyce Howe, Wausau, Juliann (Jim Vollmer) Landowski, Mosinee; six grandchildren, Catina Howe, Jennifer Wold, Joshua Howe, Steven Howe, Shawn Landowski, and Austin Landowski; two great grandchildren, Jacinda Hollander and Jaden Wold; five brothers, Edward (Irene) Landowski, Schofield, Dennis (Georgianne) Landowski, Milwaukee, Ludwig Landowski, Wittenberg, Sylvester (Shirley) Landowski, Ringle, Kleo (Joanne) Landowski, Antigo; four sisters, Frances King, Schofield, Isabelle (Clarence) Burclaff, Wausau, Elizabeth (Donald) Budnik, Hatley, and Natalie (Ernest) Dallman, Hatley. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Brian Hanke, a great grandchild Kelsi Kempf, and three sisters, Wanda Landowski, Leona Magrecke, and Agnes Landowski. The funeral mass will be celebrated 12: Noon, Saturday March 9, 2002 at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. The Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in St. Florian Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 am Saturday until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
