Joseph "Joe" D. Hollibush

Joseph "Joe" D. Hollibush, 65, Spencer, WI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield after a long illness.

He was born December 30, 1960 in Milwaukee, son of the late John D. Hollibush and Margo (DeLonay) Hollibush.

Joe was a graduate of Wausau West High School. Throughout his life, he worked as a masonry contractor with the Laborers International Union.

He was a lifelong member of the National Wildlife Federation and his favorite pastimes included, hiking, fishing, hunting, canoeing and spending a quiet day outdoors. Joe was an avid reader and enjoyed all types of music and puzzle solving.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Karla Krause; one sister, Shelley Kearns; two nephews, Josh (Nicole) Kearns and Ben Kearns; one great niece, Marley; his step nephew and nieces, Jared, Lilly and Calli; and many other friends and family.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Dennis Kearns.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 16, 2026 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com
