Joseph J. Herzog

Joseph J. Herzog 74, 2820 Hubbill Ave., Wausau, died Friday July 12, 2002 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. He was born January 17, 1928 in Wausau, son of the late Joseph L. and Minnie (Voight) Herzog. For 20 years, Joseph had been employed at Drott Manufacturing and J.I. Case, retiring in 1982. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Herzog, Wausau, three sons, Chris (Mary) Herzog, Birchdale, Minn., Daniel Herzog, Tucson, Ariz., Tony (Kim) Herzog, Blaine, Minn., three daughters, Marie (Steve) Schmidt, Teresa (Rob) Baneck, all of Wausau, Cathy (Bill) Park, Milwaukee, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three step-daughters, Debra Bessert, Denise (Jim) Cherek, Dori (Dave Loud) Meredith, all of Wausau, one step-son, Norman R. Laffin, Fort Worth, Texas, 13 step-grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren, one brother, Dennis (Margaret) Herzog, Wausau and one sister, Dawn Lillie, Kenosha. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday July 15, 2002 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the Sixth Street funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
