Joseph B. Doherty

Joseph B. Doherty 59, Athens, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Christ Jesus on Friday, September 28, 2007. He died of cancer after a short stay at Hospice House, Wausau. He was born March 23, 1948 in Madison, son of the late William and Martha (Deja) Doherty. On May 20, 1972 he married Carol Henry. She survives. Joe was employed at Greenheck Corporation in Schofield as a tool and die maker. He served his country in the United States Army. Some of his hobbies included horseshoe pitching, reading and gardening. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church, Marshfield. Joe will be remembered as a kind and loving person who enjoyed helping others. He is survived by his wife, Carol, Marathon. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave, Wausau. The Rev. Charlie Hatchett will officiate. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville. Friends may call Monday from 4 -7 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Stewart Avenue.
