Jordan M. Monette, 25, Marathon passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at his home in Marathon.
He was born August 13, 2000, son of Melanie Meyer, Weston and the late Derek Monette.
Jordan was a realtor first with Coldwell Banker and then with Jones Realty. He then went to work with Karlen Construction and most recently used his talents to buy and flip homes around the Wausau area.
In his younger days Jordan enjoyed skateboarding, which he won numerous awards for, snowboarding in winter and camping. In recent years he enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing pool, darts and bags.
The passing of Jordan leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of all who loved him. He was a young man of extraordinary promise, defined by his remarkable talents, and an innate unwavering kindness. Weather he was exploring his passion for flipping houses or simply lifting up a friend, Jordan approached life with dedication and respect for others. Though it is deeply painful that his journey ended so early, the impact of his gentle nature and creative spirit will never fade. He will be remembered not for the years he lost, but for the profound love and light he gave during the time he was with us.
Survivors include his mother, Melanie (friend Rick Gordon) Meyer, Weston, his maternal grandmother, Pam (friend Gus Strehlo) Meyer, Hatley, his paternal grandmother, Beverly Monette, Watersmeet, MI, his cousin, Kendra Meyer, his aunts and uncles, Dawn and Ted Hettinga, Tomahawk and Jayme and Matt Radomski, Elm Grove and their children, Gabriel, Isabella, Alexander and Hudson and numerous other family and friend’s. Jordan is also survived by his honorary uncle, Joe Bottomley, Rothschild.
Jordan was preceded in death by his father, Derek Monette, his brother, Trevor Cleveland, his maternal grandfather, Orville Meyer, his paternal grandfather, Jerry Monette and an uncle, Nathan Meyer.
A Celebration of Jordan’s life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Eagles Club, 1703 South 3rd Avenue, Wausau, WI 54401. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com
