Jolanta E. Seliger, 89, Wausau, died Friday, October 28, 2016 at her home, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
She was born November 7, 1926 in the town of Cassel, daughter of the late Stanley and Clara (Bobber) Lepak. On September 11, 1945, Jolanta was united in marriage to Leonard Seliger at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cassel. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2000.
Leonard and Jolanta spent many enjoyable years at their cottage in Hazelhurst. Among some of her favorite pastimes, she loved gardening, fishing and volunteering for many church functions and activities.
Survivors include, four daughters, JoAnn (Hank) Dymale, Birnamwood, Lenora Seliger, Wausau, Laurie (Bob) Osimitz, Wausau and Julie Seliger, Verona; six sons, Lanny (Lee) Seliger, Atwater, Cal., Leon (Lori) Seliger, Ringle, Jerry (Theresa) Seliger, Wausau, Jason (Barb) Seliger, Wausau, Jeff (Joan) Seliger, Marathon and Joel (Liz) Seliger, San Diego, Cal.; one daughter-in-law, Kris Seliger, Verona; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lorraine Lang, Princeton, Ill.
Besides her parents and husband, Leonard, she was preceded in death by two sons, Leroy and Jon Seliger; and seven siblings.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Noon on Monday, October 31, 2016 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Dan Thelen will preside. Entombment will be in the Holy Angels Mausoleum, Wausau. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau.
