John W. Schlueter Jr.

John W. Schlueter Jr., 84, Wausau, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born May 3, 1941, in Wausau, son of the late John and June (Raasch) Schlueter.  On October 20, 1962, he married Jill Streeter at St. Anne Catholic Church, Wausau.

John retired from Brokaw Paper Mill after a dedicated career and spent his retirement pursuing his passion for woodworking. He was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in hunting and spending time in nature. Above all, John was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a cherished great-grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Jill; children, John III (Janice) Schlueter, Holly (Barry) Wolfgram and Kevin (Chris) Schlueter; grandchildren, Kassandra (Michael) Tucker, Frank Simon, Mitchell (Adriana) Simon, Kathleen (John) Wolfgram, Conor Wolfgram, Brianna (Mark) Knutson and Anthony (Mallory) Schlueter; great-grandchildren, Nicolas, Mackenzie, Braylon and McKenna; brother, Dale (Harriet) Schlueter, numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 am Monday, June 9, 2025, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau.  Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 am until the time of service all at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau.  Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
