John A. Stubinski
91, formerly of 1120 N. 6th Ave., Wausau died Friday, March 8, 2002 at North Central Health Care Center, Wausau.
John was born June 14, 1910 in the town of Marathon, son of the late Thomas and Rose (Kocik) Stubinski. On February 25, 1954, he married Olga (Mesalk) Dellenbeck. She preceded him in death on October 30, 1983.
John was a US Army Veteran, serving during World War II. He had retired as a heavy equipment operator from Harold J. Beilke Excavating Company in Rib Mountain. John was a member of the Church of St. Anne for many years; and enjoyed playing cards, and visiting with family.
He will be remembered as a gentle, kind man by his two sisters, Cecelia Schara, Edgar and Alice Krause, Wausau; three brothers, Joseph (Phyllis) Stubinski, Wausau, Frank (Irene) Stubinski, Mosinee, and Ben Stubinski, Wausau; one step son, Leonard Dellenbach, Wausau; four step- grandchildren, Richard Dellenbach, Carolyn Dellenbach, Marcia Dellenbach and Lisa (Wesley) Pratte; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife and parents, John was preceded in death by two sisters, Charolette "Lottie" Bychinski and Verna Koons; a brother, Thomas Stubinski, and an infant brother Martin.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Steven Brice will preside. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may directed to the Church of St. Anne, Wausau.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
