John Mroczenski

John Mroczenski Jr. 82, quietly passed away July 12, 2002 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. He was born June 24, 1920 in Athens, son of the late John and Matilda (Lipinski) Mroczenski. On June 12, 1947 he married Arlene Hardt in Athens. She survives. The Mroczenski's moved to Wausau shortly after their marriage and raised six children. John retired from Marathon Electric after 32 years and was a cement contractor in his spare time. Fixing up old lawnmowers and small motors were among his favorite pasttimes. Survivors include his wife, Arlene Mroczenski, Wausau, their children, Jean (Larry) Rothmeyer, Steven (Annette) Mroczenski, Karen (Roger) Schenzel, Richard (Wendy) Mroczenski, Jeff (Laura) Mroczenski and Brad Mroczenski, all of Wausau, grandchildren, Gary, Curt, Ami, Jordyn, Kirsten, Dylan and Madison Mroczenski, Corey Rothmeyer and Melody Schenzel, three brothers, Frank (Adeline) Mroczenski and Leonard (Eleanor) Mroczenski, all of Marathon, Alex (Vivian) Mroczenski, Abbottsford, and a sister, Marcella (Alan) Leitermann, Marathon. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Stan and Joe Mroczenski. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Weds. July 17, 2002 at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Weds. from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Holy Name Parish.
