John Edward Jamlick

February 28, 1914 — February 23, 2004

John "Eddie" Jamlick 89, 1010 E. Wausau Avenue, Wausau, died Monday February 23, 2004 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau. He was born February 28, 1914 in Knife River, Minn., son of the late Valentine and Frances (Ropiak) Jamlick. On September 18, 1954 he married May Kolbeck in Wausau. She preceded him in death July 27, 1995. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a foreman and driver for the former Steffke Freight. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Burns Post #388, Wausau. He was involved with the Civilian Conservation Corps and was a member of the Teamsters Retirement Club. Survivors include his sister, Irene Mueller, Wausau, nieces and nephews, Carrol (Don) Kluck, Alice (Harvey) Dahlke, Marjorie (Frank) Stachoviak, James (Karen) Mueller, Karen (Gene) Pagel, David (Margaret) Mueller, Carol (Ron) Cywinski, Marion Czaplinski and many great-nieces and great-nephews. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Weds. February 25, 2004 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Weds. from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
