John L. Fuenger

John L. Fuenger, 67, of Wausau, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Waterfall Health under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

He was born on June 17, 1957 in Wausau to the late Louis and Ellen (Steppert) Fuenger.  John worked for many years as a security guard at Weyerhaeuser.  He enjoyed rock and coin collecting and traveling, especially out West.

Survivors include his sister, Jane (Ron) Uekert; nephew, Ron (Lisa) Uekert; and niece, Brenda Uekert.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ellen; aunts; and uncles.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau.  The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated by Deacon Peter Burek.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com.
