John "Jack" L. Clemens
68, Wausau, died Sunday, November 11, 2012 under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice at Mount View Care Center, Wausau.
He was born October 16, 1944 in Wausau, the son of Esther (Kufahl) Clemens of Wausau and the late George G. Clemens.
In the 1960's, Jack was the lead singer for the band "Johnny and the Chantels". He was a very talented musician and also enjoyed cooking, fishing and hunting. Jack was a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club.
Survivors include, his mother, Esther Clemens, Wausau; four children, Sherri (Jim) Wagner, Wausau, Jim (Rebecca) Clemens, Wausau, Terri (Craig) Novak, Wausau and Troy Clemens, Golden Valley, Minn.; two brothers, Don (Joann) Clemens, Rice Lake and Rick (Debbie) Clemens, Wausau; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, George; and one brother, Neil J. Clemens.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Robert Jordan will officiate. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
A memorial fund is being established.
