John Leon Babl, 50, 4105 Stewart Ave., Wausau, died Wednesday, March 13, 2002 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau.
John was born June 9, 1951 in Wausau, son of Leon Babl and the late Leona (Hein) Babl.
He was employed at Graphic Packaging Corp. and a member of the G.C.I.U. Local No. 370. He retired after 24 years in the U.S. Army National Guard having served during Desert Storm. Riding Harley's, shooting pool and socializing with friends were John's way of enjoying life.
Besides his father Leon, Schofield, he is survived by one daughter, Amy (Frank) Rosendahl, Rhinelander; one son, Chad Babl, Rhinelander; one granddaughter, Lauren Rosendahl, Rhinelander; one sister, Elaine (William) Duginske, Weston; two brothers, Clark (Janice) Babl, Necedah, Stuart (Lorelei) Babl, Schofield.
A memorial luncheon is planned for 12 noon, Saturday March 16, 2002 at the V. F. W. Burns Post No. 388, Cubhouse, 388 River Drive, Wausau.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Comfort Care and Hospice Services or Mount View Care Center.
