Joanne E. Stoltz

Joanne E. Stoltz, 83, Wausau, died Monday, November 27, 2017 at Mountain Terrace Senior Living, Wausau. She was born October 29, 1934 in Wausau, daughter of the late Thomas and Beatrice (Allerley) Smith. On August 18, 1956, she married Kenneth Stoltz in Wausau. He preceded her in death on December 8, 1989. Joanne was a 1953 graduate of the Birnamwood High School. She worked for Wausau Insurance Company for many years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed working in her yard and watching her son and grandsons play hockey. Joanne was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include, four children, Linda (Brian) Brandt, Wausau, Lori (Christopher) Keene, Wausau, Michael (Lori Bradley) Stoltz, Schofield and Mark (Sue) Stoltz, Wausau; six grandchildren, Bradley (Sarah) Keene, Brian Jr. (Kelly) Brandt, Andrew (Ashley) Brandt, Kevin (Amanda) Keene, Curtis Keene and Amanda Stoltz; nine great-grandchildren, Emma, Alexandra, Katherine, Davis and Willis Brandt, Madison, Brennan, Mackenzie and Vincent Keene; one sister, Jacqueline (Albert) Hemeleski, Wausau; two sisters-in-law, Grace Smith, Gilbert, AZ and Rosalie Smith, Green Bay; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Kenneth, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis and Thomas Smith. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Noon on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Peter Kieffer will preside. Entombment will be in the Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
