Joan A. Schneider

Joan A. Schneider 67, Wausau formerly of the town of Rib Lake, died Thursday, January 8, 2004 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born May 8, 1936 in Racine, daughter of the late Norbert and Pearl (Stimers) Peil. In October 1966, she married Norbert Schneider in Chicago. He survives. Joan was Geriatric Nurse for Peace Memorial Nursing Home, Evergreen Park, Illinois for 25 years until the time of her retirement. She was active in the Moraine Valley Baptist Church, Palos Heights, Illinois and Spirit Baptist Church in the town of Spirit. Besides her husband, Norbert Schneider, Wausau, survivors include one daughter, Kathleen Matela, Joliet, Illinois; two sons, John Schneider, Wausau and Michael (Christine) Rager, Warrenville, Illinois; two grandsons, Peter McIntyre, Joliet, Illinois and Brian (Christine) McIntyre, Plainfield, Illinois and their children, Madison and Collin; dear beloved friend, Marge Wallace; her beloved and constant companion, her dog, Gracie. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 12, 2004 at Spirit Baptist Church, town of Spirit. Rev. Richard Wohler will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the church.
