Joan S. Kluetz

Joan S. Kluetz 62, 1107 N. 25th Street, Wausau, died Wednesday, November 7, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born July 2, 1945 in Wausau, daughter of the late Nels Carl and Antoinette (Courteau) Nelson. On July 18, 1964 she married Richard Kluetz at Holy Name Catholic Church, Wausau. He survives. Joan worked at Crestline Vetter and Peachtree Inc. for more than 30 years. During this time she served as secretary of the Carpenters Local Union #1594, Mosinee. Some of Joan's favorite pastimes included playing cards, cooking, tending to her flower beds and enjoying the thrills of being an avid Packer fan. Above all things she found time to sneak in some karaoke and do a little dancing but she always had time to spend with her family. Survivors include her husband, Richard Kluetz, Wausau, one daughter, Brenda Damrow, Wausau, two sons, Alan (Carrie) Kluetz, Lemon Grove, CA and Michael Kluetz, Wausau, two grandchildren, Danica Kluetz and Dylan Damrow, her siblings, Shirley Brantley, San Marcos, CA, Gary (Nancy) Nelson, San Diego, CA, Charles (Phyllis) Nelson, Tustin, CA, Byron (Ruth) Nelson, DePere, Carol (Franklin) Kluck, Schofield, Robert Nelson, Renton, WA, Jack Nelson, Little Falls, MN, Jim (Janet) Nelson, Fond du Lac, Jean Culpepper, Ventura, CA and Ronald (Kari) Nelson, Milwaukee. Joan is further survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Friends may call on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home.
