Jerry L. Schuster
56, 1110 S. Third Ave., Wausau, died Saturday November 24, 2001 at his home.
He was born December 25, 1944 in Wausau, son of the late Herbert and Stella (Dahlke) Schuster. Jerry was a 1963 graduate of Wausau East High School and was employed at Marathon Cheese until he was drafted in 1967. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War until his discharge in 1969. After his tour of duty, he began work at Green Bay Packaging in a variety of positions. Well known as an area organist, Jerry was a member of the American Guild of Organists. He was a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Burns Post #388, Wausau and was a Life Member and Past Commander of the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post #10, Wausau. Jerry enjoyed downhill skiing, tennis, golf and flower arranging.
Survivors include a son, Chad Schuster, Wausau, one sister, Lila (Eugene) Viegut, Rib Mountain, two brothers, Ronald (Sandy) Schuster, Wausau, Gene (Carla) Schuster, Mosinee, many nieces and nephews and special friends, Glen Younger and Larry Przybylski.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday November 27, 2001 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Rib Mountain. Rev. Solveig Zamzow will officiate. Burial will be in the Friedenshain Cemetery, town of Berlin. Friends may call on Monday from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be an American Legion Memorial Service at 7 p.m. Monday followed by a Scripture Service at the Stewart Avenue funeral home.
Jerry will be sadly missed by his son, Chad, family and many friends.
