Jerry A. Leder

Jerry A. Leder, 64, Eland, died Saturday, April 9, 2016 at his home. He was born January 19, 1952 in Merrill, son of the late Alfred and Esther (Schultz) Leder. On August 9, 1979 he married Millicent Morales in Colon, Panama. She survives. Jerry retired from the United States Army after twenty years of service. He loved his country, was proud of his Military Service, was a member of the Wausau Man of Honor Society and he also was a truck driver for many years. Many weekends were spent making maple syrup, cutting wood or just enjoying nature up at the 80. He was great with his hands, and enjoyed building things. His latest project was his shed, which brought him great joy. He was a generous man, and worked hard all his life. He loved and enjoyed his family, and will be deeply missed by all. Survivors include his wife, Millicent Leder, Eland, his children, Ryan (Misty) Kline, New Lisbon, Randy (Sue) Leder, Wausau, Stephany (Brian) Kita, Weston and Kevin (Lexi) Leder, Mosinee, one step daughter, Karen Bocanegra, Ocala, Florida, ten grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is further survived by his siblings, John (Phyllis) Leder, Mosinee, Jill (Ernest) Rosenow, Almond, Jay (Joyce) Leder, Mercer, Judy Borman, Wausau and Jeff (Debbie) Leder, Schofield. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jim Leder, Jane Slattery and Joann Haase. Funeral services will be held at Noon, Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Burial will be in Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King at a later date. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the Stewart Avenue funeral home.
