Jerome R. Czerwinski

Jerome R. Czerwinski 69, 1233 N. 8th Ave., Wausau, died Friday, June 28, 2002 after a long courageous battle with cancer at Kennedy Park Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Schofield. He was December 21, 1932 in Wausau, son of the late Anton and Clara (Arndt) Czerwinski. On November 7, 1959 he married Darlene Willhite at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wausau. She preceded him in death on March 17, 2000. Jerome was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion. Prior to his retirement, Jerome was employed as a receiving clerk at Marathon Electric, Wausau. He enjoyed fishing, pool and casinos. Survivors include one brother, Anton Jr. (Eldine) Czerwinski, Wausau; four sisters, Violet (John) Winchell, Hazelhurst, Alice Grob, Deerfield, Angeline (Stanley) Garski, Wausau and Katherine (Ray) Czech, Fort Atkinson; his special friend, Fay Maas and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Annie Schifelbine, four brothers, Raymond, Victor, Felix and Clarence Czerwinski. The funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 2, 2002 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wausau. Rev. Donald Baumann will officiate. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Monday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau and again on Tuesdy from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
