Jean W. Lattyak

Jean W. Lattyak, 91, Mosinee, died Friday, May 26, 2017 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Tender Reflections, Weston, surrounded by her family. She was born July 22, 1925 in Wausau, daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Fara) Kieffer. On November 11, 1950, she married Elmer Lattyak at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death on December 14, 1990. Jean worked as an office clerk and stenographer at Marathon Electric for many years. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild, and the National Catholic Society of Foresters. In her younger years she enjoyed league bowling. Jean was an excellent card player, enjoyed trips to the casino and above all loved spending time up North with her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters, Lynn (Bill) Nemke, Harshaw and Lori Lattyak, Wausau; grandchildren, Ashley (Kevin) Roethle and Brittany (Brent) Keller; great-grandchildren, Chase and Coryn Roethle; and a sister, Ruth (Paul) Schultz. Besides her parents and husband, Elmer, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ed Kieffer, sisters, Marie (Ralph) Princl and Elaine (Clarence) Wanta. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Rev. Louis Britto will preside. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild.
